Our list of the most-bought cycling pants, which is perfect for cold autumn and winter days

WHICH CYCLING PANTS TO CHOOSE?

You wonder what insulated cycling trousers with an insert to choose for the coming season. The autumn-winter period, as well as the spring, is a period when short cycling shorts, even in combination with cycling legs or knee pads, are not enough, so it is worth getting long pants that ensure adequate thermal comfort. In our offer, long non-insulated cycling pants have a detachable leg and a loose cut, you can buy inner cycling boxers with an insert, then we can use this model all year round. On the other hand, the vast majority of insulated long cycling pants with a pad will be made of a flexible, insulated material that adheres to the body. This will ensure optimal thermal comfort both on cold and typically winter days. In addition, cycling trousers may have additional inserts made of a windproof membrane, designed to ensure optimal thermal comfort at low temperatures and on longer routes while riding.

Long cycling trousers can be divided into 3 groups/variants

GROUP 1 - uninsulated cycling trousers. These are usually models with a detachable leg or not. The material is uninsulated, it can be waterproof. Cycling pants have a loose cut (there are also elastic models with braces on offer), so in winter we can wear thermoactive underwear underneath. View list ->

GROUP 2 - insulated cycling trousers, tight-fitting cut without wind protection. Such a model will most often be used in autumn, early spring and winter, when temperatures are positive. These types of cycling trousers do not protect against the wind due to the lack of a windproof membrane. Bib trousers protect our back against the cold. View list ->

GROUP 3 - winter cycling pants are insulated, also have a fitted cut like group 2 but additionally with windproof panels in the front part. Cycling pants are made of the highest quality materials such as ThermoRobuaix and ZERO WIND membranes. Such models will work best in minus temperatures in winter and positive temperatures, but not higher than + 10 C, where it starts to get too warm in them. The bib version additionally protects our back against the cold as in group 2. View list ->

Remember !

Trouser models without a cycling insert, e.g. models of running or cross-country skiing trousers, can also be used on a bicycle. All you have to do is wear your summer cycling shorts under such pants, preferably with braces, which will provide you with sitting comfort due to the cycling pad that is in the shorts and higher thermal comfort due to the additional layer of material.

We do not wear any under cycling pants from groups 2 and 3 underwear thermoactive, including boxing streak nor panties. The same principle applies as when using summer cycling shorts, where we also use them without underwear.

Below we present a list of 20 models that are available in our store and are most often chosen by our customers. The list is dynamically updated and shows the current, most popular models of winter cycling trousers.
