Today we will tell you what to pack for longer and closer trips, as well as how to pack to make cycling enjoyable. The general rule is simple: we choose luggage in such a way as to have with us everything we need, but nothing that is unnecessary and is an excessive burden.

What to take on a multi-day bike trip?

The first attempts to pack for a trip of several days may involve the need to repack your luggage. It's a kind of art of choice: what is essential and what can be done without? Below is a short guide, which is a must-have for any longer bicycle trip.

Clothing for a bicycle trip

Hygiene is very important - especially during many hours of daily cycling. Worth taking with you universal cosmetics with a small volume. If something runs out, you can always buy it on the way. Cosmetic bicyclemust have to:

  •      antiperspirant (preferably in a stick),
  •      gray soap (for washing, washing, shaving),
  •      wet antibacterial wipes (useful when you do not have access to running water),
  •      foot powder,
  •      toothpaste and toothbrush,

  •      steel pot with a capacity of approx. 0,75-1,5 l,
  •      tourist stove with fuel for it,
  •      cutlery,
  •      plastic container with a lid,
  •      pocket knife with a sharp knife,
  •      lighter,
  •      and also: a small sponge for washing pots and some washing-up liquid.

It is good to take some food with you in case there is a problem, for example, with finding an open shop.

Tools, spare parts and protections for a bicycle trip

When going on a bicycle trip, it is also worth taking with you basic tools. It is good to equip yourself with:

  •      multitool (screwdrivers, allen keys),
  •      cassette key,
  •      tire spoon,
  •      pump,
  •      adapter for the compressor.

Let's also not forget about spare parts m.in.:

  •      patches with sandpaper and glue,
  •      gear and brake cable,
  •      spare tube,
  •      chain oil,
  •      basic spare screws,
  •      insulating tape,
  •      chain link and pin,

  •      front and rear lamp (preferably with additional accumulators or batteries),

Electronics for a bicycle trip

Increasingly, electronic equipment is equipped with a micro USB input, thanks to which you only need to take one cable with you to charge all devices. You should take a bicycle trip with you electronics that we will actually use and without which we can not do for several days. Usually these are: a telephone, a camera, a camera, a flashlight and lamps with built-in batteries.
