UNIOR screwdriver magnetizer

UNIOR magnetiser for screwdrivers.

APPLICATION:

Use the magnetiser to magnetise the tip of the screwdriver blade so that the screws "stick" to it. Magnetisation is achieved by moving the screwdriver blade through the magnetiser hole marked with a "+". The screwdriver will immediately become magnetised.

The screwdriver blade can be demagnetised by sliding it through the hole marked "-" and lightly rubbing it against the walls of the hole.

The length of time for which the magnetisation works depends on the environment in which the tool is used. If a magnetised screwdriver is used in a room where the magnetic field lines are strong (e.g. an electrical switchboard) the tip will demagnetise more quickly. Under normal conditions, the magnetisation remains for longer.

The magnetiser is used when tightening screws which are in hard-to-reach places and it is not possible to "catch" them without using a long screwdriver head. The same applies to unscrewing when the screw is still in some deep, hard-to-reach place after removal. The magnetised tip of the screwdriver can also be used to hold small items in places where they cannot be held in the hand.

The magnetised screwdriver cannot be used to grip stainless steel screws.
