Terra™ MIPS is an ultra-lightweight freestyle helmet with a perfect fit in a glossy, modern design so you can focus on a smooth ride and sharp style. The helmet's streamlined profile is achieved through passive aggressive ventilation. This discreet but powerful system automatically manages airflow and temperature while you move or stand while you're waiting for your friend at the bottom of the slope. The overall look is finished with a lightweight roundabout and subtle lines for seamless compatibility with Giro goggles. Terra MIPS also features a lightweight construction and an adjustable In-Form 2 Fit fit system that makes you almost feel no helmet on your head. This helmet is equipped with MIPS, Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, which can provide better protection in some typical impacts.

*ENGINEERED COMFORT
HEADY SHAPE - Giro's own headforms have been developed using a combination of precision head scans, meticulous fitting studies, and aggregation of head size and shape data across the globe. Giro also uses scaled head shapes to match our Asian fitting line.

Helmet depth - The ideal helmet depth successfully combines comfort with complete coverage of the forehead, back of the head and ears. This is achieved through careful research and prototypes printed in 3D to ensure a perfect fit in combination with low temperatures, high speeds and wind.

MIPS OFFSET - MIPS integration is taken into account from the very beginning of the helmet construction to ensure that the technology used does not affect the comfort of use. Our current line of MIPS helmets offers such a sophisticated integration that most users will never notice that the technology is there.

*GIRO AUDIO ACCESSORIES BY OUTDOOR TECH - Wireless Chips™ 2.0 handsets feature one-touch control buttons and touch-free phone call control. The corded Chips™ headset is a versatile corded model with easy to use controls (even with gloves on) and a 10-hour playback time. Both models feature full range 40mm speakers and proven performance down to -29°C.

*IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION - The In-Mold design combines a hard polycarbonate outer shell with an impact-absorbing foam insert. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making In-Mold helmets lighter and better than traditional helmets.

*IN FORM 2 FIT SYSTEM - The In Form 2 adjustment system is lighter and has a lower profile than the original, making it even easier to select the right fit in seconds - even with gloves on. The improved vertical tuning function allows you to accommodate a variety of goggles and head shapes to match each other without any play.

*MPS EQUIPPED
MORE PROTECTION OF MORE PROTECTION OF CERTAIN TYPE-APPROACHED MISS - We spent many years working with MIPS designers. The technology was developed by scientists from the Karolinska Hospital and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. The concept is based on more than two decades of scientific research. Thanks to our extensive testing, we believe that helmets equipped with this technology provide additional protection during some typical falls. We are pleased to offer MIPS technology across the full range of Giro Snow helmets, from freestyle and All Mountain to Alpine Race and Junior models.

The main features of a helmet equipped with MIPS are: 1. inner foam pad, 2. low friction pad and 3. elastomeric mounting system. In case of angular contact, the elastomeric attachment system extends to allow the foam padding to be rotated independently around the head.

*PASSIVE AGGRESIVE VENTING SYSTEM - The discreet design of the external ventilation openings and the internal ducts (including liner and lining) combine to achieve optimum airflow and temperature control. This automatic ventilation technology manages the airflow and temperature during driving, hiking or resting.
