Food for special nutritional uses

Beta-alanine from SPONSER® is an intracellular acid buffer for high-performance and strength athletes. It is suitable for repetitive, high-intensity exercise, in which acidifying the muscles and lowering the pH simultaneously reduces blood performance.
Due to its improved "acid buffering capacity", beta-alanine provides increased lactate tolerance. Thus, due to lactate tolerance resulting from certain exercise, athletes can withstand a given load for longer periods or achieve higher performance over a period of time. In addition, a much faster recovery can be expected as the removal of acid from the muscles is accelerated by the increased buffer capacity.

What sport benefits?
- Typical anaerobic and lactate sports:
Swimming, athletics (short and medium distances), rowing, skiing, cross-country skiing (sprint)
- repetitive interval loads:
strength athletes, various team sports (soccer, hockey), martial arts (karate, judo) )

Targeted resistance exercises of isolated muscle groups in strength athletes produce locally very high lactate values that should be removed as soon as possible. If a muscle remains acidic for too long, the next set cannot be completed fast enough and with enough power.
The improvement in performance appears to be all the more pronounced the greater the load-induced metabolic acidosis. Therefore, athletes such as mid-distance runners, rowers, swimmers or skiers accustomed to anaerobic exercise are expected to benefit more from supplementation than endurance athletes such as long distance runners, triathletes or cyclists.

Function and mode of operation
Beta-alanine as an amino acid supplement increases the level of carnosine in the muscles. The most important function of carnosine is to buffer acids. In contrast to extracellular sodium buffering (cf. LACTAT BUFFER), carnosine acts inside the cell. Of great interest in this context is the combination of soda loading and beta-alanine supplementation to improve both extracellular and intracellular buffering.

The slow-release tablets help prevent the unpleasant (but harmless) tingling of the skin caused by beta-alanine. Follow the instructions for use (charging phase).

Tip: As an intracellular buffer substance, beta-alanine is particularly suitable in combination with the extracellular acidic buffer LACTAT BUFFER from SPONSER®.

Advantages

- Intracellular acid buffer for performance and strength athletes
- Where muscle acidity and lactate accumulation limit performance
- Proven A supplement, widely used in professional sports
- Slow release formula

Use

2 x 2 tablets daily, preferably with a meal. Do not eat for more than 8-10 weeks, and then stop consumption for about 4 weeks.

It is suitable for strength sports as well as swimming, athletics, combat sports, skiing, sprint and short-distance endurance sports.

For maximum efficiency, SPONSER recommends combined use with Lactat Buffer.
