Assembly ZEFAL Bike Taxi

The ZEFAL Bike Taxi tow rope is mounted under the saddle, between the two rails of the towing bike. In order to connect ZEFAL Bike Taxi, the bikes must be stationary. The loop at the end of the cable is placed between or under the two clamping bolts on the stem of the tow bike.

Way of usage

ZEFAL Bike Taxi allows an adult cyclist weighing up to 116 kg to tow a child at least 5 years old who has the appropriate bicycle skills. The total weight of the child and bicycle must not exceed 95 kg. The ZEFAL Bike Taxi tow rope should be used under adult supervision. For the safety of your child, do not leave him unsupervised with the product.

Safety Notes

We advise you to be careful on difficult and steep climbs that can lead to dangerous descents for the child. Please adapt your riding style so as not to make too tight turns and keep the cable taut. Disconnect the cable before starting the descent.

Instructions for use

1. Bike Taxi allows an adult cyclist weighing less than 116 kg to pull a child at least 5 years old who is able to ride a bike. The total weight of the child and the bicycle must not exceed 95 kg.
2. Bike Taxi must be used under adult supervision and must not be left unsupervised with a child.
3. To minimize shocks when pulling the cable, the start of the towing and towed rider must be synchronized.
4. Bike Taxi is for use only when climbing on paths, not on public roads.
5. Be careful, steep or difficult climbs can lead to dangerous descents for the child.
6. It is necessary to adjust your driving style not to make too tight turns to keep the rope taut.
7. Make sure you maintain a steady and reasonable speed (max. 10 km/h).
8. Disconnect the cable before going down the slope.

Assembly instructions

1. Bike Taxi is mounted under the saddle, between the two rails of the towing bike.
2. Bikes must be immobile to connect Bike Taxi. The loop at the end of the cable should be placed between or under the two pinch bolts on the stem of the tow bike. Make sure the stem of the tow bike is equipped with a handle.
3. To disconnect the Bike Taxi, the bikes must be stationary. Detach the loop from the Bike Taxi stem and release the cable. The cable will automatically revert to Bike Taxi.
