SWITCHBLADE MIPS

Switchblade MIPS is a full-face helmet with a removable chinbar. The helmet is ASTM certified for downhill helmets and CPSC and EN-1078 certified for helmets with and without jaws. The jaw is easily removable, simply press the buttons under the jaw, rotate upwards and remove. Its reassembly is equally simple. Another commendable feature of the Switchblade MIPS® is the Roc Loc Air DH fit system, which has a protector around the dial to prevent accidental adjustments in the event that the helmet touches the backpack or neck brace, all while keeping you cool. When the jaw is removed, the ventilation of the Wind Tunnel inner inserts provides even more cooling when you start climbing. Additionally, the full cut gives this helmet an aggressive look and provides ASTM certified coverage even with the chinbar removed. When your riding is all about going downhill, your helmet needs to be rated for it, and the Switchblade MIPS is the only helmet with a removable chinbar that's built for that purpose.

• Roc Loc Air DH - This revolutionary adjustment system adds a new dimension to helmet performance by increasing cooling, as well as adjustment comfort and stability. Using a patented design that holds the helmet slightly off the top of your skull, Roc Loc Air DH allows cool air to flow directly over your head, enhancing the effect of the vents and internal channels that release heat from the helmet. The fit adjustment mimics the ROC Loc 5, allowing you to easily adjust the helmet's tension and front tilt in seconds with one hand.
  
  
• MIPS - All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding strict safety standards. The goal of Giro helmets equipped with MIPS is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the rotational force that can be transferred to a cyclist's brain in certain impacts.
  
  
• In-Mold Construction - this construction combines a hard polycarbonate outer shell with a shock-absorbing foam lining of the helmet. The bonding process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
  
  
• Hydrophilic Padding - Hydrophilic padding can absorb up to 10 times its weight in water, helping you deal with sweat while riding. The lining retains moisture, preventing sweat from dripping into the eyes, and then dries quickly. Antibacterial, X-Static lining helps reduce odor, keeping your helmet fresh.
  
  
• Wind Tunnel Ventilation - helmets Giros are constructed using our proprietary Wind Tunnel ventilation system. • POV Plus visor - this visor is equipped with an adjustment mechanism that allows you to move it up and down in a few steps.
