WTB introduces the new Raddler gravel tyre, available in 700 x 40mm and 700 x 44mm sizes, as a more aggressive alternative to its Riddler sibling. The new tread pattern has increased block height and spacing throughout the tread, with even more height added to the outer blocks to improve cornering grip in loose terrain. The durability of the original Riddler tread pattern has also been improved by increasing the surface area of all the centre and intermediate blocks. With a name that speaks for itself, the Raddler combines the efficiency of the short block midline with the grip of the visible outer blocks. It's a semislick, but designed to boost confidence when pushing the limits of gravel.

Five years ago, the Riddler tread pattern was originally introduced as a mountain bike tyre with minimal centre blocks combined with strong outer blocks to provide optimum pedalling efficiency without losing grip when cornering. A year later, we expanded the Riddler family to include a 700c version with 37mm and 45mm widths to meet the needs of cross-country, gravel and pannier riders. Introducing the wheel of evolution, we introduced the Raddler to combine the aggressive approach of our initial mountain design with the gravel format of the proven 37/45 Riddler. Our development resulted in a fast gravel tyre with the soul of a mountain bike. Love the proven Riddler gravel tyre? Don't worry, it will remain in WTB's tyre lineup for riders who want a semislick with shorter blocks.
