BioViz™technology includes, among others . visibility standards that every Pearl Izumi product must meet. They stipulate that a Pearl Izumi jersey, shorts or any other item of cycling clothing must be visible from a minimum of 100 meters. This is the minimum distance needed by a driver of a car traveling at a speed of 100 km/h to react effectively (e.g. overtaking) in relation to a cyclist traveling at a speed of 25 km/h.
