Description
The Trail Boss 2.4 / 2.6 bicycle tire from the renowned WTB brand, with an aggressive tread pattern suited to its increased width, will be perfect for riding in mountain conditions. This model of bicycle tire is based on the previous version of the Trail Boss 2.25 and is perfect for loose, wet conditions.
The tire has excellent traction due to the large spacing between the blocks. Also noteworthy are the supporting side blocks that bite into the road very deeply, whether you're entering a sharp corner or braking. The Trail Boss 2.4 bicycle tire is mostly used as a rear tire, although it also provides excellent traction as a front tire on paved trails.
Features:
- Optimum rim width inside: 25-35mm
- Application: Trail, Enduro
- Surface: loose on hard, dirty, rocky
- Weight: 1286g
Function:
- Some tires are semi slick and fast while others are chunky and bite into the ground. The Trail Boss is something in between, it was designed as a tire for medium terrain. The tight grouping of the central blocks reduces rolling resistance, which does not prevent them from penetrating during braking. The high outer blocks provide traction at the earliest stages of cornering.
- The center blocks are scored in a direction that improves traction when accelerating and braking, increasing the amount of working edges that bite into the trail when you step on the pedals or apply the brakes. The outer blocks have notches that run parallel to the tire for better cornering grip.
-The Trail Boss 2.4 / 2.6 has slotted lugs to maximize grip when braking, and their relatively tight spacing improves rear tire life by increasing the overall footprint to counteract strong braking forces. Larger side blocks extend beyond the sidewall to protect the tire from cuts when steering in the rear. We suggest combining the Trail Boss 2.4 / 2.6 with the Vigilante 2.5 / 2.6 on the front.
- TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is the standardized WTB tubeless system. These tires feature a tubeless TCS carcass that virtually eliminates punctures and allows tire pressure to be lowered to improve traction and comfort compared to a traditional tubular tire.
