From the elegant design of the industrial design to the way the helmet handles the impact energy, the Aether MIPS is different from previous helmets and shows the true importance of performance innovation. It combines an open, spacious design with a revolution in rotational energy management to enhance head protection for bikers. Inside the Aether, the EPS double-density foam liner helps to cope with a wide range of impact energies, while having deep internal ducts for cooling. Our proprietary spherical MIPS® technology is integrated between layers of EPS foam instead of on the cyclist's head, giving cyclists the advantages of MIPS without affecting comfort or cooling power. The stunning silhouette is created by an elegant six-part shell that surrounds a series of massive air vents, with additional structural reinforcement thanks to the shatterproof AURA reinforcement arch. A final touch is our Roc Loc 5+ Air fitting system with a 3-way fit that allows for easy adjustment in seconds.

TECHNOLOGY:

• Six-piece shell- stunning shape is created by six single polycarbonate pieces around a series of massive vents.
• Aura reinforcing arch - the structural integrity is reinforced by an unbreakable and semi-transparent Aura reinforcing arch that runs through the helmet.

• MIPS - Multi-Directional Impact Protection System - This is a system that separates the helmet from the inner lining with a special extra layer placed on the flexible hooks. In short, it looks like an extra thin and fairly soft layer of plastic in the middle of the helmet, which slides slightly. This is where the inner sponges are attached to it. This system ensures that the forces that act on the cyclist's brain during a fall are reduced. MIPS is supposed to protect not only from vertical but also oblique impacts, and these are said to be the most dangerous for the head, even in a helmet. Within a few milliseconds the MIPS shell moves a few millimetres. The system looks quite inconspicuous, but it is thanks to it that, during a fall, the helmet will move at least on the head taking the whole impact.
