The design process of the helmet construction involved progressive layering along with variable density EPS foam to achieve better management of energy transfer during certain impacts or shocks. The combination of a hard outer polycarbonate shell in an In-Mold process, with a shock-absorbing EPS foam helmet liner, has allowed for the best ventilation system, superior durability and incredibly low weight, while the EPS foam liner provides excellent cushioning in the event of an impact. Importantly, this helmet is equipped with the MIPS System (MULTI-DIRECTIONAL IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM), a multi-directional impact protection system used by leading bicycle helmet manufacturers, helps to reduce the risk of head injuries to a minimum. In addition, the Float Fit Race fitting system with which it is equipped is integrated into the aforementioned MIPS system and provides easy, wide-range vertical adjustment of the fit via an easy-to-use dial. The DUAL-FLOW VENTILATION system actively introduces cool air into the headspace and regulates temperature by drawing cold air into the intake ports and then circulating it through a matrix of air ducts, thus aiding thermoregulation of the scalp during cycling. Alongside this, Dual Flow ventilation features air intakes along the brow to provide ventilation and help evaporate goggles.

TECHNOLOGIES USED:

• MIPS system (MULTI-DIRECTIONAL IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM) - multidirectional impact protection system, used by leading bicycle helmet manufacturers, still remains revolutionary as regards the quality of head protection during impact. Its action consists in isolating the layer of the helmet directly adhering to the head from overloading and possible movements of the helmet shell during a fall, thanks to which the exposure of a part of the head during an accident becomes impossible. MIPS is a type of padding that (provided the helmet is properly fitted) always remains in the same place on the head, allowing a certain amount of movement of the helmet shell during impact with an obstacle or friction, this ensures that the overload and energy created during an accident is well distributed and the risk of head injury is kept to a minimum.
